Stream

Stream through a forest. This is a motive I've used before in a pastel painting (Forest and stream in pastel). This time I was more true to the lighting and I  changed some of the trees and the background.

Digital painting, painted in Artrage with a Wacom tablet. I mostly used ArtRage's oilbrush for this one, though some of the last detail was done with a bristle sticker (which is more like photoshop's brushes)

Painted in Artrage, mostly using artrage's watercolor brush. The green background was made with one of artrage's sticker spray's which is nearly the same as regular photoshop brushes.

Digital landscape with a small lake in a forest

Digital painting of a lake in a forest. It's an imagined location. I used some photos of trees and forest as reference.

Painted with a Wacom pen on a small Wacom tablet. Software: I started in Photoshop, but ended in ArtRage (ArtRage 3.5 pro).

ArtRage is a great program for painting - really recommended! I still use photoshop for some things, but that's mostly because I'm so familiar with it, as I've used it for many, many years. ArtRage is really great for a 'painterly' look, though it can also paint/edit precise if you want.
